Red Wine & Farm Beet Marmalade 紅酒菜頭甜醬

Marmalade is a type of sweet preserve similar to jam or jelly.  Other than the traditional marmalades that are made of citrus, vegetables that have sweet notes, like onion, tomato, or beet, are also getting popular in the marmalade world.  Spread it on your toast or cracker as a change for the jam and I am sure you will love it.

Cherry Banana Jam

Ingredients: make about 2 cups
3 1/2 Pound Cherries

2 Ripe Banana, sliced

2 tablespoons Vanilla Extract
1 3/4 cups Sugar

The cherries were freshly picked by Ethan at a farm...

Ethan loves cherries.  "Ahh," as soon as he saw those big and brightly red cherries dangling in the trees, he ran and gulped down one, with the pit.

His laughers filled the air.  After he satisfied with the juicy treat, he waddled to Daddy and fed Daddy one of the big cherries he'd found.

Instruction:

1. Rinse and pit each cherry.

2. Mix all the ingredients together and leave it for half an hour.

3. In a large sauce pan, boil the mixture over high heat until it bubbles.  Turn down the heat to low, and then continuously simmer until the water is reduced and the consistency is thickened.

4. Remove the jam from the heat.  Bottle it into a sterilized container after it is compeletly cooled.
